Projects : (Utrinski vesnik, 01.06.2010) – An evening-long project that started last year will be organised for the second time in the Skopje Old Bazaar on 5th June. Last year, “ReDiscovering the Path of Culture” organised by the IMG International Management Group showed that the project can turn into reality and culture can be used as an economic development resource.

| Kitsch, Yes!?/Yes or No?/ - Exhibition of Works by Kiril Gegoski in Kumanovo
Projects : (Vecer, 20.05.2010) – The Directorate of Culture and Art in Skopje and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Macedonia are continuing their joint project Kitsch, Yes!?/Yes or No?/ The project the aim of which is presentation and promotion of art and getting closer audiences to the Macedonian and world renowned artists, is continuing with an exhibition entitled Kiril Gegoski's Landscape at the Art Gallery in Kumanovo at 8:00 p.m. today.

| | Two Exhibitions in Rostuse
Projects : (Vest, 04.05.2010) - Exhibitions of Ustijan Sekutkoski and Anastas Kuskoski will open in the Rostuse Center of Culture on Tuesday at noon.
The displays are organized by the Skopje Center for Contemporary Arts, in the framework of project “Culture in Rural Communities” and municipality Mavrovo-Rostuse.

| Presentation of “Readymade Name” at Press to Exit
Projects : (www.culture.in.mk, 21.04.2010) – A lecture and presentation of “Readymade Name” will take place at the CK Culture Centre tomorrow at 8:00 p.m. An engaged art project created by three Slovenian artists in 2007, the project asks the questions What is a name and What is power through the process of name changing. In 2007 the artists officially changed their personal names for the then Prime Minister Janez Jansa’s name with all necessary documents and seals.

| UNESCO Funds Reconstruction of St. Jovan Bigorski Monastery
Projects : (MIA, 01.04.2010) - UNESCO has positively responded to a request submitted by the Ministry of Culture and UNESCO National Commission for immediate assistance in amount of US$50,000 intended for reconstruction of the monastery of St. Jovan Bigorski.
“The assistance is of great importance for swift overhaul of this exceptionally significant monument of culture, which after last year’s fire is left with serious damages on the wooden construction, carved ceilings, ornamented windows and furniture and wall paintings.

Projects : (Vest, 29.03.2010) - Project space for contemporary art and artistic research “Press to Exit” will present the first series of nine art videos from selection titled “Project 35” in cultural center “CK” on Monday evening at 20,00h.
“Project 35” is comprised of 35 art videos selected by 35 curators in 4 selections, which will be promoted in museums and galleries worldwide throughout 2010.

| Conservation Centre - Skopje Keeps Looking After Cultural Heritage - Gilded Icons Painted by Dico Zografot Restored and Conserved
Projects : (Vecer, 22.03.2010) – The Conservation Centre in Skopje has completed a 14-month project for restoration and conservation of fifty gilded icons and a gilded carved iconostasis in St. John the Baptist Church at the village of Bulacani, Skopje area. This extraordinary and valuable collection of 19-century icons whose importance is even greater since they were signed by Dico Zografot, a famous icon painter in the Balkans at the time, has been conserved for the following few centuries in an endeavour enabled by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Macedonia, Stojmir Stojanov, Senior Conservator and the Project Manager says.

| Zarko Trajanoski Gives Lectures at Tocka Cultural Centre
Projects : (www.culture.in.mk, 18.03.2010) – Two lectures by Zarko Trajanoski followed by discussion will take place at the Tocka Cultural Centre today and tomorrow within “Deschooling Knowledge,” a partner project of TkH Platform in Belgrade and Kontrapunkt in Skopje.
Trajanoski is a scholar, columnist, human right activist and co-editor of “Identities,” magazine for genre, policy and culture. The goal of the lectures and discussions is to open issues on collective identity symbols ad genres and sexual policies of identity.

| | Joint Project of UNESCO National Commissions – Cuisine Connects Macedonia and Turkey
Projects : (Vecer, 18.11.2009) – Traditional cuisine and a dining table was one more corridor for cultural cooperation between Turkey and Macedonia yesterday. A workshop, “Common Cuisine – Common Taste,” a closing part of a joint project of the two countries’ UNESCO National Commissions, was held at the Deputies’ Club. Turkish and Macedonian experts have conducted year-long research in cities and towns looking for similarities and differences in traditional cuisines.
