Resen Home of Culture – Promotion of NGO projects
World Bank - Community Development and Culture Project : 

(Utrinski Vesnik, 29.04.2005) - Several NGOs held a promotion Thursday in the yard of Resen Home of Culture of projects within project “Community Development and Culture”, which is financed by the Macedonian Ministry of Culture and the World Bank. NGO “Gorica Prespa” realized project “Enrichment of Tourist Offer of Ethnological Museum in Village Podmocani and near-by Site Lekovita Voda”;

PROJECT: Babino Selo – House of Book Restored
World Bank - Community Development and Culture Project : 

(Vreme, 10.12.2004) - The House of Book at Babino Selo, a village in the Demir Hisar area, has been restored with a grant within the Development of Municipalities and Culture Project. The house is owned by the Stepanovski family and after restoration, it has got its authentic look of the façade and room for storing an additional fund of a few thousand books. Stevo Stepanovski’s family has cherished a long tradition of enriching their home library which has ten thousands books including many valuable rarity publications.

PROJECT: Protection Workshop of ZTD Suvenir, Sudbina, Delcevo
World Bank - Community Development and Culture Project : 

(www.cdcp.org.mk, 09.11.2004) - The aim of the project is to upgrade the workshop of the association with equipment which is used for production of handicraft artifacts and souvenirs, and better acceptance of the disabled in the society and finding solution for their employment.

PROJECT: Kukulje, Iskon, Delchevo
World Bank - Community Development and Culture Project : 

(www.cdcp.ogg.mk, 08.10.2004) - This project plans preparation of a brochure on the Kukulje locality. This locality is a natural rarity, and it has natural rarities, historic monument, vast pine and oak tree, natural springs with healthy drinking water. There is a legend about the formation of Kukulje, which tells that there had been a wedding where the wedding party going to take the bride met a beggar, who asked to be treated with rakija.

PROJECT: Guide Through Maleshevo Region, DGIT, Berovo
World Bank - Community Development and Culture Project : 

(www.cdcp.org.mk, 19.08.2004) - The idea of this project is creating local maps of Berovo, Pehchevo and Delchevo, and also one regional map for the whole region (for all three municipalities). They will help promoting the local specifics of each part of that region.

PROJECT: Education Eco- Center, Kladenec, Pehcevo
World Bank - Community Development and Culture Project : 

(www.cdcp.org.mk, 12.08.2004) - This project plans to achieve higher level of protection of the natural and cultural heritage through education of the young people, and also development of tourism. In the first phase, reconstruction of the old school building in the village of Negrevo will be done to adapt it for the purposes of the education.

PROJECT: Macedonian House of Pijanec, Vlaina, Delcevo
World Bank - Community Development and Culture Project : 

(www.cdcp.org.mk, 26.07.2004) - Adaptation of an old Macedonian house in tourist capacity while keeping all the characteristics of the Macedonian tradition and the architecture typical for the Pijanec region. Main activities of the association will be preserving the outside and inside architecture of the house with all the additional objects that are typical for an old Macedonian village.

PROJECT: Reconstruction and Restoration of Old Water Mill, Hut and Sheepfold, Berovo, Berovo
World Bank - Community Development and Culture Project : 

(www.cdcp.org.mk, 24.06.2004) - The major activities of the project will be reconstruction of the old water mill, stone oven, hut and sheepfold. The idea is that their location is a guarantee for interesting tourist attraction.

PROJECT: Renovation of a House with High Architecture Value, Pirej, Delcevo
World Bank - Community Development and Culture Project : 

(www.cdcp.org.mk, 21.06.2004) - The idea is renovation of a house that is unique by its architecture in municipality of Delcevo. It was built 1921 and today it is in a very bad condition. That’s way it has to be renovated or it will be completely ruined. The plan is - the house, after its renovation, to become a Museum of the town of Delcevo. Last year, archeological researches were made in the municipality of Delcevo and many interesting objects were found.

Ministry of Culture, Unit for Coordination with Project “Community Development and Culture” – Open Competition for Civic Associations
World Bank - Community Development and Culture Project : 

(Vest, 17.06.2004) - This open competition is valid for civic associations from municipalities Veles, Bogomila, Bitola, Resen, Krusevo, Demir Hisar, Debar, Centar Zupa, Rostuse, Struga, Vevcani, Velesta, Meseiste, Kriva Palanka and Kratovo. The Ministry of Culture received a loan from the International Development Association (IDA) for realization of project “Community Development and Culture”.

Basic Aim of the Project

(www.cdcp.org.mk, 17.06.2004) - The basic aim of the project is to create conditions which wil facidevelopment of our country, through utione of its most important potentials - the cultural heritage; in areas rich is cultural and historic monuments to create culture-based industries (related to restoration of ancient crafts and development of tourism on the local level); and improved management of cultural assets, especially on the local level.

PROJECT: The Old Court Building, Berani, Berovo
World Bank - Community Development and Culture Project : 

(www.cdcp.org.mk, 18.06.2004) - The idea is to reconstruct the old Court building and to make it a town-museum, gallery and souvenir shop. The old Court building is ideal because it has 6 rooms and it is an old building, which is also part of the cultural heritage of the region. That would be a perfect way for keeping all works of the handicrafts, artists etc. who worked in this region safe in one place and to make it possible for the local people as well for the tourists to be able to see the typical works of the people from this region.

PROJECT: Restoration of a Cottage and Modernization of Space for Production of Cheese, Berovo, Berovo
