| | Imposing Presentation of Macedonian History
60 Years ASNOM : (Makedonija Denes, 18.08.2004) - An exhibition “ASNOM 1944-2004” has been under way at the show rooms of the Museum of Macedonia. What the admirers of Macedonian history are enabled to see is a show of a few parts that chronologically link to and complement one another. The exhibition starts with 1918 and moves to 1941. Photographs, newspapers and papers of associations and societies that show the history of our country are exhibited.

| 10 Days Krusevo Republic - CD of Meckin Kamen Epopee Presented
60 Years ASNOM : (Vreme, 10.08.2004) - Within the 38th scholar–cultural meeting "10 Days of the Krusevo Republic", recently a new CD on theme "Epopee of Meckin Kamen" was presented.
Beside illustration of Meckin Kamen fight, there is also text recorded on the CD. It is about illustrations of the picture book with text by Lefkija Gazhovska. Through 26 beautiful illustrations by Dime Ivanov-Dimano and Tony Anastasovski, the fight of Meskin Kamen is presented.

| | "Skrb i uteha" Theater in Mavrovo
60 Years ASNOM : (Vreme, 06.08.2004) - The performance "Cold Shower or Instructions for Foolishness" by "Skrb i uteha" Theater will be performed Friday evening, at 20,00h at Mavrovi Anovi. The performance is written by Chekhov and Tihomir Stojanovski and directed by Vlado Doncev. This guest performance is organized on invitation from the mayor of the municipality within the activities commemorating two jubilees – 101 years of the Krusevo Republic and 60 years of ASNOM.

| In Edition of Macedonian Film Library – Anthological Macedonian Films Revived on DVD
60 Years ASNOM : (Dnevnik, 04.08.2004) - In the framework of the program for marking of the 60th anniversary from the first ASNOM assembly, three Macedonian films, “Wolves’ Night”, “Miss Stone” and “Black Seed” have been put on a DVD, in edition of the Macedonian Film Library.
“Macedonian film is part of our tradition and our cultural identity. It reflects contemporary events, but also our past”, director of Macedonian Film Library, Boris Nonevski says.

| | In Honor of ASNOM – Reconstruction of Four Monuments from World War II
60 Years ASNOM : (Nova Makedonija, 03.08.2004) - In light of the 60th anniversary from the first assembly of ASNOM, the Republic Bureau for Protection of Cultural Monuments intervened on four objects: Commemorative Mausoleum in Veles, Commemorative Mausoleum in Kicevo, Monument of Freedom in Kocani, as well as Partisan Printing House in village Bituse.
The intervention on the Commemorative Mausoleum in Veles included a replacement of the concrete plates and new isolation.

| On Occasion of ASNOM – Music Program in Macedonian National Theatre
60 Years ASNOM : (Vest, 29.07.2004) - A concert will be held in the Macedonian National Theatre on Thursday vening at 21,00h. Opera soloists and choir, and the Macedonian Philharmonic, conducted by Sasa Nikolovski-Gjumar, will perform suite from ballet “Labin and Dojrana” by Trajko Prokopiev, 4th and 5th movements of cantata “Baltepe” by Todor Skalovski, adagio of Spartacus and Frigia from the ballet with the same name by Hachaturian.

| City Library “Miladinovci Brothers” – Exhibition on Occasion of ASNOM
60 Years ASNOM : (Utrinski Vesnik, 28.07.2004) - On occasion of the marking of the 60th anniversary from ASNOM, city library “Miladinovci Brothers” from Skopje prepared an exhibition, which will be set in central library “Drugarce” until September 15.
The exhibition contains documents (copies) from the preparations for ASNOM until Macedonia’s independence and its accession in UN. There are documents from the Macedonian Academy of Science and Arts, Macedonian Archive, and the fund of books and periodicals of the library.

| In Honor of 60th ASNOM Jubilee – Brezovo Cultural Meetings
60 Years ASNOM : (Utrinski Vesnik, 22.07.2004) - Macedonian association for culture, customs and traditions “Gorocvet” and the local community of village Brezovo organize the 3rd “Brezovo Cultural Meetings”, which will be dedicated to the marking of ASNOM’s 60th anniversary. Government Minister Vlado Popovski is the patron of the manifestation.

60 Years ASNOM : (Makedonija Denes, 16.07.2004) - The jubilee 10th Children Art Workshop “Small Bitola Monmartre-Pelister ‘04” is opening at the Children Resort on Pelister Mt. at 12.00 a.m. today (through July 25). The workshop for young art talents in Macedonia is organized by St. Cyril and Methodius Art Studio in Bitola and is dedicated to a rare jubilee - 60th Anniversary of Antifascist Assembly of People’s Liberation of Macedonia (ASNOM). The participants in this year’s workshop, young artists from Bitola and Kocani, will paint the beauties of Pelister.

| Artistic Resistance Movement – Art Without Stalin’s Portrait
60 Years ASNOM : (Vreme, 13.07.2004) - Without the classic social-realistic characteristics, without playing up to the taste of the current politicians, and with an expressive modern approach as a result of the individual search – these are the basic traits of art in Macedonia, dedicated to the fight for national liberation and the revolution, says professor Boris Petkovski, who is the author of the exhibition on this topic, which occurred in the Macedonian Academy of Science and Art (MANU).

| In Kicevo - Mosaic Restoration on Monument on Kitino Kale Started
60 Years ASNOM : (Nova Makedonija, 07.07.2004) - Commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of Antifascist Assembly of People’s Liberation of Macedonia this year was an occasion for the Ministry of Culture to fund restoration of four monuments of culture dedicated to People’s Liberation Struggle (NOB) including the mosaic on the Monument to NOB on the Kicevo Kale (Fortress) that has been in a very bad condition for years.

| | Ceremonial Sending-Off of Ilinden Horsemen – Along Paths of Komitadjis to Krusevo
60 Years ASNOM : (Dnevnik, 06.07.2004) - Megastar Tose Proeski will send-off and wish a happy journey to the 30 horsemen, who will leave on horses from Gorno Lisice to Krusevo on July 27. There will be a great national gathering at the plateau in front of church “St. Petar and Pavle” in Gorno Lisice. Besides Tose, renowned Macedonian Opera singer Boris Trajanov is also to perform, while Pontiff of Macedonian Orthodox Church Stefan will bless the horsemen.

| Gligor Cemerski on Restoration of Kocani Mosaic - What We Have Added to It the Most is Joy
60 Years ASNOM : (Vreme, 02.07.2004) - Painter Gligor Cemerski and a group of about 10 associates are busily working on restoration of a part of a monumental mosaic, the Monument to Liberty, in Kocani. Disastrous damages were defined during last year's inspection of the monuments and memorial structures in East Macedonia by a team of the Institute for Protection of Monuments of Culture. Restoration work is a part of the activities for commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of the Antifascist Assembly of People's Liberation of Macedonia (ASNOM) this year.

| | Mosaic in Memorial Center in Pelince – Folklore, Historic and Ambience Motives Put in One Image
60 Years ASNOM : (Nova Makedonija, 18.06.2004) - The preparations of the mosaic “Macedonia”, which will be set at the Memorial Center in Pelince near Kumanovo, are ongoing. The mosaic, an idea solution of Macedonian painter Rubens Korubin, will be set at the two walls in the commemorative-house in the Memorial Center on August 25.
“The mosaic, which encompasses a 140m2 of space, is a visual presentation of Macedonia in its colors, so maybe this is the reason for calling it just ‘Macedonia’”, Rubens Korubin said.

| After Open Competition – ASNOM Memorial Center – First Award for Project of Konstantinovski
60 Years ASNOM : (Dnevnik, 24.03.2004) - Project of architect Georgi Konstantinovski received the first award at the open competition for preparation of an urban-architecture solution for the ASNOM Memorial Center. The five-member jury also allocated two awards for projects of Dejan Sekulovski, Dejan Spasenovski and Ilija Bozinovski, and Zorica Blazevska, Sasa Tasik and Dimitar Papasterevski. The jury was comprised of sculptor Boro Mitrikeski (chairman), architect Dragan Stojanovski, art historians Bojan Ivanov and Risto Tanevski, and Biljana Tanovska.

| Open Competition for Building of ASNOM Memorial Center Announced
60 Years ASNOM : (MIA, 16.01.2004) - Following the decision of the Macedonian Government, the Ministry of Culture announced Friday the open competition for preparation of a draft-urban architectonic solution for building of Memorial Center ASNOM.
The location for the complex is situated in region Sredorek, Pelince, municipality Staro Nagoricane, two kilometers from monastery "St. Prohor Pcinski", where the first session of ASNOM (National Anti-Fascist Liberation Council of Macedonia) was held on August 2, 1944.
