| On the Day of Macedonian Statehood - Cherry-wood Cannon in Krusevo for Ilinden
(Dnevnik, 30.07.2003) - A famous cherry-wood cannon from the Ilinden period is expected to be exhibited in Krusevo on July 31 or a day afterwards within the central ceremony of the 100th Anniversary of Ilinden Uprising. The legendary gun will be displayed in the gallery dedicated to Ilinden era within the Ilinden Monument aka Macedonium, to the left of vojvoda Nikola Karev’s tomb, Nikola Jovanovski, director of the Museum in Krusevo says.
“There are such announcements, though nothing has been defined yet. Minister of Culture Blagoj Stefanovski also said the cherry-wood cannon will be in Krusevo for the event,” Jovanovski says.
According to the announcements, the gun will be displayed in Krusevo for six days.
