The Museum Archaeology Division will present exhibits from pre-history to Roman times. The Historical Division will display documents, photographs and items from the Ilinden period, and the Ethnological Division will show house and other items, photographs of the city and European oriental culture from 1920-1940. The Art Gallery will present works from the fund of a colony that used to take place at Prohor Pcinjski Monastery.
“An art colony was regularly organized at the Monastery from 1974 to 1991 and its fund contains a number of works. We used to open an exhibition of the newly created works every year on Ilinden. I believe tomorrow’s exhibition of paintings made during the Prohor Pcinjski Colony is a good selection of works and in good time, Jasmina Zisovska, art historian at the Gallery in Kumanovo says.
